LatAmTronica is the inaugural project of the newest branch of ZZK Records called ZZK Culture.
ZZK Records is known for releasing music by artists like Nicola Cruz, Chancha Via Circuito, Son Rompe Pera, Luiza Lian, and more. Today, ZZK announces a new branch: ZZK Culture, and an interactive exhibit ‘Latamtronica.’
Latamtronica profiles the extremely rich history of electronic music in Latin America, challenging a history attributed to the genre that is largely based in European and North American major cities.
Latamtronica strives to uplift the major developments in the genre from across the continent through an ongoing multi-media exhibition. The exhibition has received positive commentary from prominent figures such as Camilo Lara, Matias Aguayo, Kaleema, Nortec Collective, Tayana, and more.

ZZK Records has spent the last 15 years at the forefront of Latin music, carving out space for artists putting a futuristic (and often electronic) spin on classic rhythms and folklore traditions. Along the way, the label spread across the globe and helped launch a few stars—Nicola Cruz, Chancha Vía Circuito, La Yegros and Son Rompe Pera among them—but while the name ZZK is now likely familiar to just about anyone with a taste for forward-thinking Latin sounds, the crew’s origins were rooted in something much more humble: the desire to throw a great party.
