Their new 12-track album will be released on May 30.
The ever-evolving multi-genre Mexican trio Los Aptos is back with another single and music video, “La Nena,” from their forthcoming album. “La Nena” explores the band’s songwriting expertise in creating a sierreño love ballad with their nostalgic signature alternative pop touch.
Known for their romantic ballads and pushing their sound’s boundaries, “La Nena” continues to demonstrate Los Aptos’ knack for bringing a love story to life. The new song showcases the band’s sentimental and characteristic regional Mexican style, fused with pop elements that undoubtedly distinguish them as innovative musicians. With gentle brass instruments, nostalgic guitar chords, and a rhythmic bass, the vocalist Juan Ortega croons about a flourishing love that he’ll do anything for. Lyrics like “Dios te puso en mi camino, pues baby no ignores el destino,” bring the song’s passion to life, demonstrating Ortega’s rich composing talents yet again.
Los Aptos have been having a successful year with unforgettable performances in 2024, followed by a string of spring shows throughout the Midwest. They are also set to perform at Napa Valley’s La Onda Festival (May 31) in the U.S., alongside Latin figureheads like Marco Antonio Solís, Banda MS, and Pepe Aguilar.
