On the heels of finishing a small yet glorious tour that took their cumbia to more than 150,000 people from northern Argentina all the way down to the ‘end of the world’ in the Argentinian Patagonia, Los Ángeles Azules present “Tú y Tú” feat. Cazzu and Santa Fe Klan, the first single from Los Ángeles Azules’ upcoming new album.
The song, written by Horacio Palencia, Nina Minguez and Ángel Jair Quezada Jasso (best known as Santa Fe Klan) and produced by Jorge Mejía Avante and Rodolfo Lugo (the winning duo behind hit album ‘De Buenos Aires Para El Mundo’), comes alongside a music video directed by Christian Schmid in the famous Tepito neighborhood in Mexico City.
“Tú y Tú” follows the release of ‘Cumbia del Corazón,’ the cumbia band’s latest star-studded album that features collaborations with Nicki Nicole, Sofía Reyes, Esteman, Carlos Vives, Juanes, David Bisbal, Paty Cantú, Luciano Pereyra and Edwin Luna y La Trakalosa de Monterrey. To date, the album surpasses 165 million streams on Spotify and its music videos have amassed more than 200 million views on YouTube.
Currently, Los Ángeles Azules prepare to kick off the second leg of their De Iztapalapa para el Mundo US Tour. The tour, which wrapped up its first leg with 15 SOLD-OUT shows including 2 at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles and 1 at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York City, will resume this Saturday, March 11 in Oakland, CA and continue through 12 cities before coming to an end on April 15th in Tucson, AZ.
