CYPRESS HILL’S ERIC BOBO AND DJ BITMAN RETURN AS RITMO MACHINE NEW SINGLE “ISLA DEL RITMO”
Ritmo Machine is the acclaimed collaboration between CYPRESS HILL’s percussionist Eric Bobo and mix master DJ Bitman (Latin Bitman). They debuted on the border-crossing culture clash album ‘Welcome To Ritmo Machine’ which brought together an array of incredible artists including Chali 2na (Jurassic 5), Sen Dog (Cypress Hil), Ana Tijoux, Money Mark & Mix Master Mike (Beastie Boys), P-Nut (311), and Sick Jacken (Psycho Realm). The funky blend of hip-hop beats, live instrumentation, electronic and Latin music received much praise including from the likes of the LA Times “Suturing polyrhythmic African grooves, DJ scratches, electronic flourishes and a hip-hop aesthetic – it forms its own new strain of soul music” and NPR “An explosive package of hip hop, funk, fusion, and jazz … a balanced blend of DJ scratches and live instrumentation” amongst others.
10 years after their debut, the incredible duo are back and celebrating B Boy Culture, Break Beats and the sounds of the street on “Isla Del Ritmo”, the first single of their follow-up album, out later this year.
