Known for his harmonic sophistication, rhythmic intricacy, and emotional depth, Guinga has worked with icons such as Elis Regina, Clara Nunes, Chico Buarque, and Michel Legrand. His music defies categorization—rooted in samba and choro, yet deeply influenced by jazz, classical, and the melodic traditions of northeastern Brazil.
Ana Everling, a Moldovan-born vocalist honored as “Artist Emerit” by her country’s president, brings her signature vocal style—simultaneously tender and bold—into intimate conversation with Guinga’s masterful compositions. This cultural exchange is presented in collaboration with Constellation Performing Arts, a nonprofit venue committed to showcasing boundary-pushing global music in Chicago.
Limited seating is available. RSVP for the workshop and purchase concert tickets at Ana Everling.
By attending, audiences support both an independent artist-led production and Constellation’s mission as a platform for vital traditions and voices from around the world.
