Music maker and experience provider, Figgy Baby, just dropped a new video for the song “Once the Dust Settles,” which was a collaboration with Crema by Mitu and photographer Rudy (@visualeyesla) for this particular shoot.
We were joyfully surprised to hear “OTDS” start off with a sample of one of our favorite songs, the 1970 single, “Sugar Man,” by Rodriguez. Figgy Baby’s equally profound lyrics follow immediately, flowing with ease, sass, and sophistication.
“OTDS” is a meticulously written song that attempts to capture all that is, all that was, and all that will be Figgy Baby. Each phrase is a reflection of deep introspection and transformation.
“Once the Dust Settles” feels like a life-altering moment for Figgy Baby because it poetically manifests their life, what they’ve been through, and ultimately, what they desire and hope. It is the impact of each line that makes the song so compelling.
