“Thanks to his perseverance and ability to innovate, the new idol of Regional Mexican music has been able to break stereotypes in a genre that for years has been pigeonholed” – GQ Mexico
Adriel Favela just released his first album with Fonovisa Records titled “Cosa Del Diablo”. The singer and multi-instrumentalist express his limitless creativity throughout the album’s fifteen songs.
Favela released five of the album’s songs in advance including “El Bo” featuring El Bala, “444XTipo Need For Speed,” and “Lágrimas de Miel.” Plus, “Maldito,” featuring Brandon Reyes and Elvin, and “Con Un Botecito a Pecho” featuring Carin Leon, a song that is already climbing radio charts in Mexico and the United States.
Adriel Favela’s vision has allowed him to move in different spheres of the music industry. It allows him to utilize different musical and visual experiments not typically found within Regional Mexican music. Cosas del Diablo is no exception.
For example, “Contigo no fue” is an irreverent song that features the hosts of La Cotorrisa, one of the most popular podcasts in Mexico and Latin America. It also features Mexican YouTube star Strecci. The music video for this song also premiers today along with the album.
The song “Bayo 17,” is collaboration with Luis R Conriquez.
Adriel’s artistic mission is clear: break cultural and creative barriers with an outstanding sound and style.
In November, Adriel was named Extraordinary Man of the Year by GQ Mexico. Soon, Favela will perform at the Tecate Pal Norte, Los Dells, and Tecate Festival.
He will continue to promote his new album in Mexico, Latin America, and the United States.
