Latin GRAMMY-winning indie star Silvana Estrada (@silvanaestrada) returns with “Antes De Ti” (‘Before You’), a duet with pablopablo (@pablopablo), marking the next phase of her global breakout. The song is a tender reflection on love as transformation – framing life before a partner as chaotic and unmoored, and their arrival as grounding and redemptive.
As headliner of London’s Latin Music Festival, La Linea, Silvana Estrada recently performed two sold out shows at London’s Union Chapel. During her second show, pablopablo joined her onstage where the pair performed together in a series of deeply moving moments that previewed the emotional resonance of ‘Antes De Ti’.
“Pablo brought up the idea for the song, and I thought it was incredible,” Silvana shares. “The blind spot the past becomes when you fall in love with someone, and the anxiety of the person who doesn’t want you to look back. Within seconds we were at the piano, laughing and throwing out images. There were a lot of “ping-pong” moments, also because Pablo is a great musician and we were catching each other’s melodies on the fly while he found chords on the piano. The most beautiful thing was finding a tone that maybe isn’t the most common in either of our worlds—like a space that opened up naturally from each of our ways of doing things. It flowed so, so well that it felt as if, by meeting, we had remembered a song we had been meaning to write, one that needed that exact afternoon, in that apartment in Roma, with those Oxxo beers quickly going warm, in order to finally exist.”
“The idea for the song came to me on the plane from Madrid to Mexico City, trying to write something to have when I got to the studio,” Pablo Drexler aka pablopablo shares. “I started thinking about how people in love forget that there was a life before falling in love. I was also thinking that maybe love actually dies the moment that past is remembered. And from there came the idea of asking someone, please, not to remember. When I met up with Silvana, we quickly realized we were in pretty similar moments in our lives, though I don’t know if that’s why the song came together so fast and so easily. I think sometimes there’s something intangible, a certain kind of magic—almost addictive—that makes a song write itself.”
Silvana released her highly anticipated, self-produced second studio album, Vendrán Suaves Lluvias, via Glassnote Records, last year to critical acclaim. Recently, she also featured as a cover artist on Rolling Stone en Español and Songlines.
Vendrán Suaves Lluvias featured on a litany of End of Year lists last year, including Pitchfork, NPR and Apple Music’s Best Songs of 2025; #3 Rolling Stone’s Best Latin and Spanish-Language Albums.
Shortly after the album’s release Estrada shared her NPR ‘Tiny Desk’ concert, a truly special entry with her 8-piece band pulled together from Montréal and Mexico, where the album was made. Estrada also spoke about the album in an incredible interview with The Guardian as well as appearing on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music 1 show.
With Vendrán Suaves Lluvias, Silvana Estrada opens a window into her most intimate world, one that honours loss, celebrates rebirth, and reminds listeners that “the soft rains will come, peace will return, and hope will bloom again.”
Estrada is continuing her world tour for the remainder of 2026.
