One of the Midwest’s biggest tributes to apple season will return to the historic streets of downtown Long Grove when the 32nd annual Apple Fest takes place September 22nd through 24th. The 2023 edition of Apple Fest features countless apple delicacies, everything from apple pies and apple donuts to apple sangria and apple wine. In addition, as always, there will be live music stages in multiple areas, family activities, and a classic carnival offering “bushels of fun” for everyone!
The Apple Fest Treats:
The heart of Apple Fest are the dozens of apple vendors doling out locally-made, apple-inspired food and beverages. In the past, Apple Fest has featured creative options, mouthwatering items like chocolate caramel apples, candy covered apples, hard apple ciders, apple popcorn, spiced apple lattes, apple tempura, green apple cotton candy, apple crisps, apple goat cheese dumplings, apple cheesecake, apple pie, cinnamon apple ice cream, apple sugar cookie, and much more. This year visitors can expect more of the same as well as other autumn favorites too.
The Apple Fest Entertainment:
In addition to three-days of colorful apple-themed treats, festgoers can also participate in exciting activities. Apple Fest includes family fun at Fountain Square where the legendary apple pie-eating contests take place as well as a new apple bobbing contest, arts and crafts, and a kiddie entertainment stage. As always, there will also be a dedicated classic carnival with thrill rides and games too. The biggest draw at Apple Fest is typically the live music playing continuously on multiple stages spread out throughout town.
