WHO: Over 120 visual artists and vendors, 30+ live music acts including Chicago’s award-winning Indo-Afro-Caribbean music ensemble Funkadesi, Chicago Jazz ensemble Lucy Smith Quartet, Whiskey for Jesus, the Latic Folk Fusion ensemble Son Monarcas, and Rogers Park’s very own Urban Rhythm Band with local food and drinks vendors, families and kids from across the city, art lovers…
WHAT: … come together to celebrate the popular annual tradition on Glenwood Avenue in Rogers Park, the 22nd Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest.
The festival presents a diverse selection of over 120 artists and craftworkers, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, glass, textile, metal, print, mixed media, and functional art.
In honor of the festival’s theme, World Music, the festival will feature over 30 live music acts featuring a wide variety of musical genres, as well as food and drink vendors representing neighborhood restaurants, live arts demonstrations including poetry writing among others, and a KidsFest family activities area.
WHEN: Friday, August 18, 6-9 p.m. (music only, without artist vendors)
Saturday, August 19 from 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
Sunday, August 20 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
